March Madness in Room 102

In early March, we celebrated Read Across America Week by having a Book Character Parade. I was the lady from There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. We also had a wimpy kid, mermaids, a fairy, Alice in Wonderland, and a Monster High girl in our room that day too! Fun fun!

In March, we also visited the Wonder Room to listen to a visitor from the Upstate Watershed discuss the water cycle and weather. This gave them some background before we get to our upcoming weather unit, which is sure to be fun!

Here are 3 of my most recent Captains of Character: Emma, Charley, and Ryan. Way to go!!

March was the month of our Invention PBL unit. These pictures show them in their biography groups researching and preparing their presentations.

Finally, after visiting the Duke Energy Invention Convention, we were ready to show off our own. These are just a few pictures of the results. I am so proud of their hard work! We have some wonderful, curious inventors at OES!!

Last week, we celebrated the Book Fair with a beach day. Here are some of the beach beauties from our class :) I think we are all ready for some beach weather!!

Have a fabulous week and a safe, relaxing Spring Break!
